Each piece is made with high quality solid sterling silver. The colour of the stone is completely dependent on your breastmilk or cremation ashes. A fine Mica powder is added to include a little bit of sparkle/dimension.
 
Only 10ml of breastmilk is needed. For ashes, half a tablespoon will be needed.

This piece is named after one our Nurses at BC Children's Hospital, she was also our Nurse at Canuck Place (Hospice). Melanie was our Nurse quite often during our journey and was looking after Bennett the day we found out that his cancer had mutated to an even more aggressive cancer. It was one of the worst days of my life, that is the day I started preparing my heart, even though I had so much hope for the next round of chemo. On that day Melanie was so kind to us and understanding. I was a sobbing mess and she did all she could do help me feel more comforable. A month later when we moved to Hospice, I remember it was our second or third day being there and Melanie walked in our room, I cried seeing her. It was so comforting to see her there. She ended up coming with us to a hockey game. Our daughter Madeline, LOVED Melanie and had such a blast. It meant the world to us that we were able to create memories with our family while we could. Thank you so much Melanie for everything you have done for Bennett and our family. You have a forever place in our hearts.
